Escape Hybrid’s 2.3L I4 “Atkinson Cycle” gasoline engine is a
dual-overhead-cam design with four valves per
cylinder. The special “Atkinson Cycle” improves fuel efficiency when
combined with the electric motor, boosting the
horsepower to 155 for V6-like acceleration. T
The optional Hybrid Energy Audio & Navigation System gives you a
6-CD changer, navigation capability with full
map and turn-by-turn voice direction, fuel economy display and
energy-flow diagram that shows how the engine,
motor and battery are being used.
Behind the sleek floor shifter is an optional 110-volt AC power
outlet that can be used to plug in electrical items. No adaptor
necessary.
